Our Data-Protection Commitments

Six principles that guide every decision we make about your personal information

256-Bit SSL Encryption

Every byte of data transmitted between your browser and zona69's servers is encrypted using TLS 1.3 with AES-256. Intercepting your information in transit is computationally infeasible.

Minimal Data Collection

We collect only what is strictly necessary for account operation, identity verification, and regulatory compliance. We do not harvest data for sale or build advertising profiles from your gaming behavior.

No Third-Party Data Sales

zona69 never sells, rents, or trades your personal information to marketing networks, data brokers, or any external commercial party. Your data is yours.

Your Rights, Always Honored

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting our Data Protection Officer. We respond to all verified requests within 30 days.

Defined Retention Periods

Data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law. Redundant records are securely deleted on a fixed schedule.

Breach Notification

In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting your personal information, zona69 will notify affected users within 72 hours of discovery via email and in-account notification, in line with international best practices.

8. Data Security

zona69 implements a comprehensive, layered security framework to protect your Personal Data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Key technical and organizational measures include:

  • Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between your device and zona69 servers is encrypted using TLS 1.3 with AES-256 cipher suites. HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) is enforced to prevent downgrade attacks.
  • Encryption at Rest: Personal Data and financial records stored in zona69 databases are encrypted at rest using AES-256. Encryption keys are managed by a dedicated key management service with hardware security module (HSM) protection.
  • Access Controls: Access to production systems containing Personal Data is restricted to authorized personnel, enforced through multi-factor authentication (MFA), role-based access control (RBAC), and privileged access management (PAM) solutions.
  • Network Security: The Platform is protected by web application firewalls (WAF), distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) mitigation, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and regular penetration testing by independent security firms.
  • Monitoring and Logging: All access to systems containing Personal Data is logged and monitored continuously. Anomalous access patterns trigger automated alerts and human review.
  • Incident Response: zona69 maintains a documented data breach response plan with defined escalation paths. In the event of a breach affecting your Personal Data, we will notify you within 72 hours of discovery as described in Section 9.
  • Staff Training: All zona69 employees with access to Personal Data receive mandatory annual data-protection and security awareness training.

While we employ robust security measures, no system connected to the internet can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

9. Data Breach Notification

In the event that zona69 becomes aware of a security incident that results in the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure of, or access to your Personal Data, we will take the following steps:

  • Contain the breach and conduct an immediate forensic investigation to determine scope and impact.
  • Assess the risk to affected individuals, considering the type of data involved, the likelihood of harm, and the severity of potential consequences.
  • Notify affected users via the email address registered to their zona69 account within 72 hours of determining that a breach has occurred, detailing the nature of the breach, the categories of data affected, the likely consequences, and the measures taken or proposed.
  • Report the breach to relevant regulatory authorities where required by applicable law.
  • Implement remediation measures to prevent recurrence and document all actions taken.

10. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

10.1 Types of Cookies We Use

zona69 uses the following categories of cookies and similar tracking technologies on the Platform:

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies: Essential for the Platform to function. They enable core services such as user authentication, session management, fraud prevention, and load balancing. These cookies cannot be disabled.
  • Functional Cookies: Remember your preferences such as language settings, saved payment methods, and interface customizations to provide a more personalized experience.
  • Analytics Cookies: Collect aggregated, anonymized data about how users navigate the Platform (pages viewed, time on page, click paths) to help us improve usability and performance. We use first-party analytics rather than third-party advertising analytics.
  • Security Cookies: Support our fraud detection systems by maintaining session integrity signals and detecting anomalous access patterns.

10.2 Managing Cookies

You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings. Most modern browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies from specific or all websites. Note that disabling functional or analytics cookies may affect your experience on the Platform—for example, your preferences may not be saved between sessions. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled via browser settings without disrupting core Platform functionality.

11. Children and Minors

zona69 services are strictly for adults aged 21 and above. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from individuals under the age of 21. If we become aware that an account has been created by or on behalf of a minor, we will immediately suspend the account, delete all associated Personal Data, and void any financial transactions. If you have reason to believe that a minor has created a zona69 account, please contact us immediately at [email protected].

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

zona69 reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Material changes—those affecting the categories of data collected, the purposes for which data is used, or your rights under this Policy—will be communicated to registered users via email at least 14 days before taking effect. Non-material changes (such as formatting corrections or clarifications that do not alter the substance of your rights) will be effective immediately upon posting and reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the bottom of this page. Your continued use of the Platform after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
